Ile de la Cite
I was able to spend 6 days in Paris in February. Paris is a photographer’s dream come true. I took over 1000 pictures and 50 short videos. The weather was dark and dreary, which made for some nice shots. Since there was very little color most of the shots are in black and white.
I actually stayed in the wing of the oldest hospital in Paris located smack in the middle of at Ile de la Cite. In the same plaza as Notre Dame. The hotel was called Hôpital Hôtel-Dieu and it offered some great photo opportunities. The room was small, but clean and quiet. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful.
Pictures of my Hotel
The hotel was located in the same court yard as Notre Dame. This made the perfect location with easy access to the Metro and all of the major attractions. Notre Dame is celebrating it’s 850th year. Here are some outside shots of the cathedral.
I spent a whole day exploring the Ile de la Cite. This is the center of Paris and also the oldest.
Next… Part 2 Eiffel Tower.
