Spent the morning exploring the lower Mascoma River with fellow QACC photo club members, Lisa and Paul. We were hoping to see some close-ups of some wildlife, but only saw some deer from a far and a few ducks. I did go back at dusk to hang out with some beavers. The first shots are of an old mill. One shot is the camera pointing straight up an old shaft.

Black Friday on the Mascoma
After our Black Friday experience on Rte 12A I went for a walk along the tracks on the lower Mascoma River. It will not be long when this will be open more to the public when the rail trail is completed in the next year or two. The new trail will be great, but this section will lose its “wildness” “railroad” feel. As I walked along I saw some huddled down does and the water behind the dam on Glen Road is home to some Mink. Headed back tomorrow to try to get another glimpse.

Claremont’s New Sculpture
Today we decided to visit Claremont’s new 250th Anniversary sculpture and the river front surrounding the park. The sculpture was designed by a local artist named Ernest Montenegro. We liked it. I think things like the sculpture and the walking bridge are good things for Claremont. I noticed a few “tourists” checking things out. Enjoy.

Return to the Brickyard
One of my yearly photo stomping grounds-the old Densmore Brickyard. All shots are from multiple exposures.
Here are some links to my previous visits:
