The kids and I were at the Strawberry Festival in downtown New London and I had to show them this beautiful spot. Being a sunny day I decided to focus on the insect world. Most shots were taken with my 40MM Macro lens except for the damsel and dragonflies where I used a 200 or 300MM zoom lens. The bird at the end was not at the park, but in my front yard after we got home. Enjoy.

It was pigs in the blanket for dinner and when they were done cooking we all hopped in the car for a stroll in the King Bird Sanctuary. This is a small nature tract behind the Etna, NH Library. It was a quick walk, so my focus was on the wild flowers with my 40mm Macro lens mounted. Here are my shots…

Knights Hill Nature Park located off County Road in New London (south from traffic circle) is 100 acres of well laid out paths through fields and forest. The trails in the fields are kept mowed and there are many places to take a break and soak in the landscape. There are also many small signs that explain the plants and geology within the park. They want to keep disturbing nature to a minimum, so no dogs, running, jogging, bicycles, and children must be supervised.
